1. The Auburn earthquake game in 1988. MY EARS STILL HURT!
    I was twelve years old.

The 1997 Florida is right up there. Not to mention in 2002 (not in TS) when we crushed Florida in the Swamp. The game Mauck went down late. I made that trip 4 previous times before(all losses). It was my favorite LSU football game of all time and it wasn't even close.
  2. I would have to say 10/22/05. LSU 38 UA 6
  3. I was there as a Boy Scout. The drunk fans were giving us money to go get the oranges that did not make it on to the field.

    97 Flordia was awsome.
So was the OT game against the Vols.
  4. This is tough...I'll work backward in no real order.
Oregon St 2004...Georgia 2003...Auburn 2001...big gap...Washington 1983 (my first year as a student...we won 41-14) I didn't get to many games in between college and the beginning of this millenium. Now that I'm a Marshal I make almost every home game with last season being my favorite. Best thing is I'm on the field for the end of the game so I have seen some great finishes up close and personal.
  5. Favorite game - 1997 vs. Florida. Best 15 minutes of football I ever saw in Tiger Stadium was the 3rd quarter vs. South Carolina in 2002.
  6. Thanks for bringing me some oranges.:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: That was one very fun game for the crowd.
  7. This year's ole miss game....I passed on the tradition to my youngest son(5 yrs old)...his first game in Tiger Stadium!
  8. Rice, 1977
77-0. Total domination. Carlos Carsons first 5 colllege receptions were all touchdown bombs, an NCAA record.

    Southern Cal 1979
We wuz robbed. Blown call by the official costs LSU the game. But it was a great game.

    Florida, 1997
Beat the undefeated defending National Champion. Beat Darth Visor. The goals posts came down for the first time in Tiger Stadium. People tore up the turf for souvenirs. They had to turn off the stadium lights to get the fans to leave after the game.
  9. That game came to my mind, as well. That was 1982, and it wasn't the last game of the regular season. Back then, bowl bids would go out when many teams still had games remaining. Remember the fog that rolled in at halftime? The Tigers stayed in that fog and lost to Tulane one week later in the same stadium! Ugh!

A classic one, for me, was my very first game in the student section. Opening game, 1976 against Nebraska. It was a classic knock down drag out defensive battle. Final score: 6 - 6 tie!

Also in '76, LSU put one of the worst whuppings ever on Ole Miss when they spanked the rebs 45 - zip!

The Tigers' 28 - 8 win over Notre Dame on national television in 1971 is also a very memorable one for me. Payback (and then some) for a 3 - 0 loss in South Bend the year before. The final score wasn't even indicative of how severely LSU dominated the Irish!

But, I think probably, my most favorite... the one that I remember better than any others, even though it was 34 years ago and I was only 12 years old at the time...
:lsug: 61 - :eek:lefire: 17!!!! December 5, 1970. Even more oranges rained down than did for the FSU game! We really owed Archie and co. and we paid them! Archie Who?! He was big time Tiger bait!

Manning tried to run up the middle
and he tried to run around the end.
And he tried to throw that football
    again, again, and again.
    But everywhere he turned,
    this is what he saw:
    Cassanova, Cassio and Anderson
    just nibbling at his jaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :geaux:
  10. Earth quake game hands down.....I always love beating Auburnt!

I was at the LSU/OLE PISS game when Bert Jones hit Andy Hamilton in those lost seconds.

    The Orange Throwing/Fog game

And yes, any game in Tiger Stadium is worthy.
