yeah.... one of the few times I tune in to hear Finebaum is on a Monday following a Bama loss in the Iron Bowl...... the Bama fanbase in in absolute meltdown-mode  FWIW, I think Shula has done an admirable job under some very dire circumstances. But the term "admirable" only resonates with Bama fans when they are winning. The fanbase, by and large, has no clue how to handle a sustained loss-streak like the one that Alabama is currently enduring. very tough times to be a Bama fan .... tough indeed.
Yea, it is what it is. All programs have up and down periods. Oklahoma (post Wilkinson and Switzer), Texas (post Royal), ND (post several), USC (post Robinson), Nebraska (post Osborne), Fla (post Spurrier), and Bama (post Bear). Nobody has a lock on football superiority forever, it comes and it goes. We suffered through the 90's. Tell Bama, welcome to the real world.
The word out of T Town right now is Shula will not return. According to BamaOnline their are very good chances Shula wont return and a coach is almost ligned up. Guess we'll see.
Good lord. There is a thread on Tidefans about how Ozzie Newsome should step down as GM of the Baltimore Ravens and take the AD job at Bama. Delusional doesn't begin to describe their fanbase.
True, Coach Moore isn't happy at this point. It has nothing to do with the thumb...you can believe that if you like, but you would be deceiving yourself. Ozzie has already stated, publically, that he would come back to T-town. His only condition was his daughter graduating from high school. Compare delustional to uninformed...you will find yourself in one of those categories.
On Finebaum's site ( http://www.finebaum.com/ ) there is a link to a parody of Tom Petty's "Free Falling" with lines like "He's a bad coach" etc. Man they are on Shula's ass. Don't know enough about if its justified are not but they are coming hard.
You might want to check with Nothingface before locking ole Ozzie in.:hihi: The fact that you brought up "The Thumb" (when the orginal post did not) says otherwise.
As soon as Shula isn't at the helm anymore I'll come back and share the stories...at this point, it would serve you well to listen to what I'm pointing out, not desputing it.
Terry, take no offense, but nowhere in this thread was anything about "the Thumb" referenced nor was anybody "desputing" you on anything that you posted. Hijack if you wish, but don't try to blame those having a football discussion in the process. Cheers :yelwink2:
