I think the sec is being very picky who they invite because of academics. Some of these schools mentioned earlier to join would be ranked last in the sec in academics which something else we do not want (west virginia).
Good post. In fact I reviewed all your posts and like the fact that you started out on the board with thoughtful conversation and not smack. You also added points with me by using the term "Bevo Menace", so no matter what happens welcome to the board. You are correct that it is a marriage of convenience, and the fact is the way things are shaping up we have to marry someone, and I trust the SEC brain trust to make the right moves. I'm old school; I still consider the Hogs and Cocks as interns. So, how good are 'ya'll' in baseball?
I wouldn't get too fired up just yet. If you read the last line of that article on ESPN it says OU would vote to stay in the big 12 if reforms were made. Those include the firing of dan bebe, which will be ridiculously easy given his fetish for shorthorn penis and for someone to come in and force UTerus to modify the lhn. The thing is the only way the bonghorns can keep the network the way it is if by going to the ACC (because ESPN owns all the coverage there) or to go Indy which they have said they won't do. If they go PAC 12 they will have to change it up (drop the High School highlight fiasco and Conference games). I think there is a good shot the league holds. If so I think Mizzou would stay home.
St. Louis and Kansas City together are a pretty big media draw. Missouri would bring in both markets. Don't know about any other positives Missouri bring to the table. ldskule:
I doubt it. aTm has serious red ass and they just want out. The radio honks up here were talking adding Louisville and perhaps WV but I can't be sure. Either way I think the maggies are gone pecans.
Missouri is a better football program now than USCe was when it joined the SEC. Besides George Rogers and the Black Death defense that LSU exposed in a bowl game, both in the late '70s - 80s, what did they have to offer. Mizzou football will be fine in the SEC, not the best but not the worst either.
Like the Eagle's said -TAMU's already gone; and they aren't looking back. I would be very surprised if the Big 12 holds it together this time. Everyone in college football is talking about and looking for the one thing that is completely missing in the Big 12 - stability.
