Now the pac12 says they're staying at 12. Hmmm...makes me wonder about the whole "big12 and big east merger".

They said it so it must be true. Why does this make me think of " I don't know how else I can say it, I am not going to be the alabama coach!" lol, sorry, couldn't resist.

I think the big 12 stays as is. I think bebe is going to get his ass canned as he should and they will rope in a few other schools from the big east since it is imploding.

Yep. Beebe's done. His handling of the whole longhorn network situation, the a&m situation with the letter to Mike Slive, losing Nebraska and Colorado last year. Not to mention the fact that he's a straight up dumbass.

The SEC sees it as expanding their media footprint, and I gotta believe that folks in Mo. are excited about being part of the best conference in America. Of course, they'll have to deal with some serious initiation first. :)

Looking at all the reasonable alternatives Mizzou is the best choice. It is a one university state, just like LSU. It has about the same amount of fans as LSU, but only because a bigger portion of Louisiana fans care about football. It has very good potential to grow fans over the years. Playing in the SEC alone will help and if they can win in the future the SEC will have hit a jackpot. West Virginia has rabid fans, almost as many as Mizzou, but not the same potential to expand that fan base. I didn't realize how big a coup the Aggies were until I saw their fan base numbers. They have more fans than any school we currently have in the SEC and about the same as the short horns. I never knew. Since the Pac 12 isn't expanding just yet we don't really have to rush getting a 15th and 16th team. We were right not to pass up the Aggies, their fan base is about as big as Notre Dame according to the figures posted, just incredible. On the other hand the left coast doesn't give a damn about football, LSU has as many fans as USC and any other school in the Pac 12. Always follow the money and there is your answer--simple.

I agree with red! Mizzou gives us a sec win every year or as close to it as possible. We trade au for mizzou. We trade a team that has knocked us out of the championship game and maybe a nc for who? Mizzou!

You have got to be happy about this. What if they would got two east teams and moved fl and sc to the west? ATM and mizzu will be sec wins for us. The only real bitch will be bama. We beat om, state, tam, mizzu - every year. Mizzou is good for us!!!

I thought Mizzo would eventually end up in the Big 10. Seems like more of a fit. If MIzzo to the SEC does happen, I would hope they would make Texas A&M vs. Missouri the final game on their schedules, so as not to mess with the current SEC rivalries.
