What exactly is "recycling" a term paper? It that the new term for plagiarism?

Yup. Don't have any knowledge as to Tack's situation but "Recycle" means using one again. It's gotten to the point where universities had to get some type of program to police the internet sites that were selling them.

Students could dial in and pick a topic and buy them. Again, I have no knowledge about any player from LSU engaging in any such behavior and am only answering the general question thrown out.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if it meant he was using someone else work or reusing and modifying a paper he had done for a prior class.

That's it, one of the President universities. Dang, my memory ain't what it used to be. Was living in BR when Fess came outta HS and remember his recruitment being quite an affair. Curious, I looked in the media guide and unless I overlooked him (which is certainly possible as I need a magnifying glass for the font in the media guide), he must not have played much as I can't find him listed as a letterman.

He has to be in there, unless it's an error. I know he played quite a bit his first year. Even started some games, I think. His playing time went down in year 2.

Would have to respectfully disagree. CJ was clearly our last great point guard. Collegehoopsnet.com has him as No. 8 in their Top 100 PGs of the modern era.

cj wasnt point i imagine- he took all the shots so he had to be a "shooting" guard

irvin might have been good but there is no way he was better than livingston--he was the last great lsu point, no doubt.

Fess was the starting point guard on the 1987 team that lost in the Elite 8 to Indiana. This was the Bobby Knight telephone off of the Scorer's table game. I was an LSU student and travelled to Cincinnati to watch LSU beat Depaul in the Sweet 16 and lose the heartbreaker to Indiana. The dagger was Fess Irvin missing free throws down the stretch and the having a jump ball called when a Hoosier came over his back and reached each arm around for the tie ball. Fess was swinging the ball around with this guy all over his back. I haven't seen that called a jump ball instead of a foul before or since. Indiana won the NC that year in the Superdome. In my opinion that year was Dale's best coaching job (with lots of help from Tex Winter!)

Fess was a solid, but not great point guard. He was a consensus national top 5 high school player.
