I wish we had Torris Bright right now. I thought he was pretty good.

Nope. Chris Jackson and Pete Maravich were both point guards.

CJ brought the ball up court and the guy guarding him would never know if he was going to pull up, dribble between his legs, and hit a 24-foot jumper or just blow past him and dunk it.

interesting how your description didnt have "pass" in it. the more i think about it, id take livingston over cj anyway. dont think cj made his teammates better, just filled it up.

That was Jackson's problem and why he left after his sophomore year. Dale told him he was going to have to get the ball into the hands of Shaquille and Stanley Roberts more often and CJ didn't like it much. He never rose to the top levels in the NBA either. He was a playground playmaker, not a team leader or even a team guy.

roberts left for spain that year too, so he wouldnt have been around to catch cjs passes.

he left at the right time (according to today's consensus of when players should leave). he was the 3rd pick, right? i remember bickerstaff saying he'd be a bust---although i dont think his opinion had anything to do with the tourette's drug/altitude thing.

i did have a problem with cj leaving after he said he wasnt going to a week or so earlier.

i cant think of a more skilled college player since pete.

    Exactly...
People were scratching their heads when Brady recruited him.
Sadly Brady gambled and apparently lost and so has the team and basketball
    fans this year.

I like Tack and I wish him the best but man.
I know LSU can get guards without personal issues.
We sure could've used a guard with ball handling skills lately!

Torrace Bright was our last good point guard if you ask me!
