It takes the athletes and the coaching to execute these schemes. There was a reason we had the best D. Could we execute this defensive scheme with lou tepper? I mean he was a defensive genius. Thank you, Mr. Saban.
physically speaking.....Randall has the arm and legs to be great. Now if only he can get the mental part down....thats where Jimbo comes in and has proven he can fix.
Re: Re: what's saban gonna do about the quarterback situation....... maybe not so bad.....these redshirts are practicing against some sophisticated defense schemes (alot more than are buddy at florida sees).......they could surprise.....definitely have the talent....

I wouldn't worry so much that other teams may try to copy "Saban's" defense. Really, after all, there are very few teams with the requisite personnel. With great DE's and solid CB's (that practice against world class receivers every day) , it really wouldn't matter much. He could've run a base 4-3 and still been successful - the talent was there. JMO, but I believe that Greene will be the top QB in the conference, followed by Leak(UF) , Boyd (UK), Campbell (AU)....in that order. Greene is the clear frontrunner, Boyd supposedly has looked great in early drills, Leak was super as a frosh, and Campbell is a 4th year starter. Interesting that the QB stack rankings parallel the O-line ratings?

After the Spring game is over, Coach Saban and Coach Jenkins should meet with Marcus Randall and tell him he could be the 2004 blocking fullback/occasional passer/receiver and or runner or offensive tight end. His true abilities lie there. No other Univ. recruited him for QB except LSU, the same would be true today, 2004. The definitive explanation can be read in the Sporting News magazine last August 2003.
