so we need to sign 14 more between now and wednesday. then sign the final 10 in between then and then. thats if we dont lose anyone. we are currently 25th. pick one number. where do we finish.
That's a reasonable estimate; I was hoping for somewhere around 12th.. Also wondering if any students he was recruiting for ND decide to follow him here. Could be a good thing seeing as ND was #4 or so last time I looked at their class..
Just how good is Ausberry? I know his dad is a bigwig at LSU, so are we recruiting him because of that or is he really a legitimate prospect? Personally, if we finish in Top 10, considering the circumstances, I would be ecstatic!
6 foot CB, 4*, #13 player in the state, #177 in the nation. The top 150-200 players are blue chip caliber players, so he has the potential to be very good.
I think BK gets as many to sign early as he can, hoping for a couple surprises. Not sure what the number will be, but I assume he will re evaluate where they are after the early period and either target a select few for February or hit the portal for 4-5 kids in positions of need. Recruiting is changing with the Portal. IF schools can sign 25 kids per recruiting season (I know they can play numbers against the 85 scholarships or whatever the number is), my guess is most programs will start allowing for 19-20 HS recruits and save 5-6 spots for Portal guys of need.
There is also a new rule this year that allows you to replace transfers, so I think as of right now, we can sign up to 32 in this class.
