Simply, this was another step in the right direction. We effected the QB all night long. And no obvious misses in assignment.
I would say that we are learning to play this scheme better, but I won't feel good until we do it against one of the better teams. These last two games may be what was needed for the team to gel at speed.
Tell me while it was 9-3, that we all didn't feel Auburn flashbacks from last year though! I know I for sure as hell did!
I was quite surprised to see so many blitzes tonight. My opinion is indeed changing and I am more than happy to admit I was wrong about Bo. The real test though is next wee. If our offense can get on the same page I'm seeing a W next week. :geauxtige LSU! :geauxtige LSU! :geauxtige
Same defense we've played since week 2, no changes...same blitzes, same coverage, same scheme. People are trying to rewrite history to justify their criticism of Pelini..."well I was right, we sucked, but now that Pelini has changed, we're doing better". Complete BS. I would like someone to explain how we've changed the scheme with facts. You can't, because we haven't. Same amount of time in soft coverage, same amount of blitzes, same amount of man, same amount of press...it's all the same, just better execution and inferior personnel for our opponents. Pelini is good, has always been. Our players are good, have always been. Learning something new is just that...new, it takes time, and we're still learning. We'll get better and better as the year goes forward.
