I dont think Pellini is that much different but that the players are executing better.

Disguising the coverages better and they have a few freaking games under their belt.

Lets just hope he keeps it up and brings the pressure to Leak. If we dont blitz and put pressure on Leak he will find open receivers. Great game Pellini.

I will give hime credit for what looks like an ever improving defense. They shut Vandy out even with all the miscues on offense. I love they way they attacked........

I still have flashbacks from last year also. Auburn and Iowa St. But, 2 entertaining games, none the less.

I feel MUCH BETTER about Pelini and this defense. I know some say it's the competition, but I disagree. We were much more aggressive the last two games and played a lot of man coverage. We didn't do that the first two games.

We'll find out the next two games if we have the corners to play man against good WRs. I like Jackson, but not sold on Prude covering talented WRs.

It's obvious Pelini changed after the Tenn game ... we'll see if that's good enough the next two weeks.

Changed in what ways? I don't think you can back that up heh. Did we blitz more than vs UT? Played more press? blitz less? I do not think we did any of that any differently, numbers wise. Tenn. simply executed their gameplan vs an ever-tiring D. The D changed only slightly after ASU..but from UT to VU, it was the same, with the same amount of aggressiveness.

I absolutely agree with you too. I think it's safe to say that most fans are very pleased with the defence's performance, and should be caustiously optimistic. They did played quite well. I believe the success is a combination of the scheme and the talent (physical and mental capability to execute); the two goes hand in hand; and of course ,not to mention coaching. It's nice to watch good defence as it keeps the offence in the game; I remember in 2003, the stellar defence had bailed out the offence so often when the offence seemed lethargic from time to time in that seasonl.

lol is philter honestly arguing the scheme is the same as it was in the 2nd half of UT or ASU?

my god man even the dumbest non-sport idiot can see its not just players adjusting. night and day on the way they chose to approach it.
