What's your opinion of Pellini now?

Granted the defense looked tough. Remember it looked tough the first half against Tenn as well. I think Bo is finally understanding that you need to play hard nose defense for 4 QUARTERS in the SEC.

I will reserve my final opinion until after the Bama game. Until then I am looking forward to Bo serving me a big plate of crow.

I don't think anyone is defending Pellini just stating the obvious that our D played better and that the schemes seemed better. A blind man could see that our defense played better last night so it's no big deal saying that. Yes the jury is very much still out on what this D can do against the top half of the SEC but after the performance in the first two games any improvement in execution and/or schemes is good news.

Another showing like that against Florida and I'll be convinced we can turn this around on defense.

While I believe that Pelini is a solid D coordinator do I think he will be here long enough for the players to fully execute his scheme. No I have a feeling he'll be a one and done type of guy. His past record indicates that he is not here for the long haul. JMO

If LSU would have played press man to man the entire second half vs Tenn. they would have beaten us by 30 with all of the guys cramping up so much. Anyway, we showed imporvement 21/2 games in a row and we'll see how we fare vs the Gaytors. Hope we can put all that pressure on Leak and get away with it.

Total BS, no way we could have done any worse defensively in the second half no matter what we played and to let a QB like Clausen pick that prevent defense apart was unexcusable.

The LSU game will be the only game that Tenn scores 30 points period. Their offense is pathetic. I still can't understand that collapse.

Total BS?, so I guess that wasn't our DB's laying all over the field with cramps after darn near every play in the second half. guess the fact they had to play 11 Db's is lost on you as well.

Football is still a game of ups & downs. Coaching that can keep the tigers level-headed is preferred. Before the year, I said I was worried about the defense & I am still worried. Having said that,…… we gave up a lot of yardage to two above-average teams & kept two below-average teams in check. (we can debate about Vandy being below-average). The next two are for the marbles. I have a hunch the defense will play well.

    Don't forget that..

    1) The student athletes had a lot on their minds at the beginning of the year,
    2) It is a new system
    3) Our corners had virtually no experience due to Webster, Daniels, Gay, getting all the reps the past couple of years (& yeah I know Prude played some last year).
