SO what do you think? Do you think we will gain enough in the computers to overlap this slip in the polls to actually gain some on PSU in the BCS this week? Or will all the damage have to be done next week?
I am usually very optimistic but... I believe a big win over Georgia does not really take any votes away from Penn State. It simply keeps things as they are.
I honestly don't think that something the pollsters thought about. Notre Dame gets lots of attention nationally, but I do believe they are a good team and their coach is the real deal.
But also, I don't think a "small" win takes votes away from us... At least it shouldn't considering we are playing a good team ON THE ROAD basically
I think it's bad news for LSU this week since coach's and Harris make up 66% of the BCS ranking. Therefore, losses in the 2 human polls not only cancel out gains in the computer polls, but they may *increase* PSU's lead over LSU in the BCS standings. Tigers picked a poor, poor time, BCS-wise, to eke out a win over a 4-win opponent. In Baton Rouge. On national television. With only one other game (Neb-Colo) with which to contend for TV viewers. Voters want to believe LSU is the real deal, and anything less than a big win over UGA only confirms what they already suspect--that LSU is not only not the best 1-loss in the country, they may not be the best 2-loss. I betcha you can find a large # of voters who'd go Ohio St. over LSU should the two meet.
A big win by LSU will help us out alot, but I think its going to be close. I'm happy to be in the position we are in, can't ask for much more (less a playoff) considering the way the season has played out. If for nothing else, lets beat the dog snot out of the dogs just because of the way we were embarrassed last year.
Which is absolute bull****, because a win is a win, and comparing schedules of the 1 loss teams, we ARE The best
Ohio State would be a tough opponent. They are strong. But don't take my word for it, I didn't thing A&M could hang with Texas.
