thats not what the general public (nonLSU fans) thinks... most non lsu fans think that LSU is over-rated... and in some ways, they are right... ps, you are right, I did say #4, and I was close, but not right.
Rick Tellshow has LSU at #7 in both Sagrin and Colley Matrix. He bases his current projection on last week's Harris, which will undoubtedly tighten the already tight gap between LSU and PSU, but at the moment he has LSU moving up slightly against PSU and opening some space b/w LSU and Va Tech. Again, I think the shake-up caused by either a Texas or USC loss, followed by a convincing LSU win, at the very least makes it interesting for the Tigers. Anything short of this-UT and USC win, LSU either wins a mistake-prone snorefest of a close game or loses-and there's no chance, none at all, IMO.
Not according to the NCAA ... PSU - 13 VT - 26 LSU - 48 WV - t49 Oregon - t49 UCLA - 76 Complete List in PDF Format
Virginia Tech MUST lose to FSU, not just an LSU win will make it close. LSU MUST beat Georgia something like 40-3.....seriously LSU would then have to take almost every 3rd place vote away from PSU (#2 if UT loses). Of course what´s interesting is should UT lose, voters may be more inclined to have LSU pass PSU in the human rankings since PSU would just sit at the #3 spot and LSU would jump from #4 to #2 with such an impressive nationally televised performance. That only gets it reasonably close but probably still a bit short.
