OK, I can't see why any of you guys think Skipper is tight with a dollar. Now he did say he learned from Fraser at UM to take your time in removing a pitcher. Give the folks more time to go to the concession stand while making a pitching change, you can make a lot of money if people know they have time to spend it. Fraser talked about a $5000 a plate dinner that he put on, said a little drinking was going on. Two people couldn't stand after the dinner, one was Skipper, the other he wouldn't identify. Skipper seemed very fond of the old days when people made very little and had to sacrifice to be part of the game. You can tell he values the struggle, probably as much as he values the reward. Finally: Skipper hadn't heard that one, he and Fraser got a chuckle out of it. He did say "Yeah, I hope we're not the cardiac kids."

i had a opportunity to meet Rod Dedeaux at a hotel in Southern CAli about 3 1/2 yrs ago. it was at a birthday party for him. i noticed on a private room that said dedauux party or something like that, i spoke to Rod's son and asked if i could get a autograph. after speaking with Rod and his family, he mentioned that my accent wasn't So Cal and i said it was south louisiana and i showed him my lsu ring and his eyes light up. he mentioned that he was born in new orleans etc. i told him how i loved the the tigers he said that Skip was the greatest and excellent at marketing that college game of baseball. we spoke for about 10 minutes and i excused myself so he could get back with his party. i cherise that autograph - it sits next to my skip/ogea autographed baseball.
His demeanor reflected that he appreciates your generous offer to forgo any benefits that might accrue to you and that it would be unselfish of you to support LSU athletics by sponsoring multiple Chancellor level gifts. If you need help with estate planning, he has forms that will help you direct your future gifts to the University. The TAF can also help you secure a line of credit, if needed, to fully fund an endowed scholarship.
