RE: 2005 - Tennessee... I was at that game, the coach isn't 100% to blame... the players looked flat the second half and confused... I Think Miles made the calls he did based on his teams actions. That one stung considering how we ran them off the feild the first half... eckkkkkkk... memories...
'99 @ Georgia - 2 pt conversion batted down with 0:00 on the clock '98 Alabama - we had the lead late, but the curse of the Bear gets us again. '97 Auburn - Wade Richey's 63 yd FG attempt blocked as time expires '96 Alabama - Herb Tyler get injured on the first dive. Brian Sparacino is uneffective. '95 South Carolina - God I hate having a tie! '94 Auburn - the Jamie Howard game '93 6 losses to choose from and none of them were close '92 Colorado St. - We were favored by 19 and still managed to lose '91 Alabama - another single digit loss to the Bammers '90 3 way tie. Losing to Vandy and BOTH Mississppi schools in the same season still embarrasses me '89 Texas A&M - I'm too young to remember ever losing to A&M before this game. I though it was just UNDERSTOOD that we alway beat them '88 Miami - I was 10. No reason for a child to have to watch a massacre like tht ever. Especially not in that weather. '87 Ohio St. - I was crushed to find out that the game could end without someone being declared a winner. '86 Miami (OH) - I didn't even know the school existed before that night, then the beat us at our place That's it, I'm too young to go back farther than that. The A&M game in '86 was my first in Tiger Stadium, and I've be absolutely hooked on LSU! ever since.
I believe in 2003 we had the #1 defense against scoring. I believe OU had the #1 rated defense, at least prior to the Sugar Bowl.:geauxtige
The loss to Ole Miss after we beat number 1 Florida back in '97 stung, just because it brought us back down after such an emotional high. Also, getting blanked 36-0 or something like that by Bama back when Herb Tyler was injured and Bryan Sparacino was the QB. Didn't Bama blank us like that this century as well? That always hurts.
Hasn't Alabama beaten LSU in Baton Rouge every single year since 1969? Quite amusing actually. Hopefully, this year, the tradition continues for the 22nd-ranked Crimson Tide.
And I stand corrected. I hope we have enough talent to make it a game this year. Alabama CANNOT continue to get inside the red zone and settle for field goals or, God forbid, fumble it like we did against Vanderbilt. No touchdowns? 'Bama is toast. Russell is just too good in clutch situations. If JP Wilson can get our offense into gear, the state of Louisiana again will be painted CRIMSON.
The only Crimson you will see is the bloodbath that is going to happen when the Tide gets swept out of Tiger Stadium. If AU couldn't move the ball, how do you think Bama is going to?
