I find conservatives mainly annoying, who are more concerned about what goes on in the bedroom than anything else. But one thing they USED to bring to the party was some fiscal sanity. Sadly, with the advent of the new conservative sect, the Neo-confederates, even that is out the window, exchanged for programs that transfer massive amounts of wealth from the middle class to the ultra-wealthy. Now comes prescription drug coverage - wow - let's take cash from middle class workers and give it to the wealthiest demographic in the country! Whoopee! Tagging right behind is the ridiculous estate tax elimination which, per Neo Confederate Policy, will RAISE taxes on moderate estates. There is no question that US consumer should not foot the entire prescription drug bill as they do today, subsidizing Europe and Canada. Do some more group purchasing; pressure these drug companies. But the answer is NOT another wealth transfer to those who don't need it. Means test a program for the poor and stop it there.
