they have a lot of so-called big names, meaning some NFL guys though the list isn't shown to us. They're going to interview according to their schedules and not in order of need. patience, you'll see plenty in time. i think.

well my first reaction was probably the same as yours until i thought about what he's up against. They have been competitive with the Stoops gang and beat them 2 of the last 3 years even with revenge for the Soooners. That says a lot given the fact OU has been the best or 2nd best team in the country the last 3 years. OU was looking to make a statement yet were lucky to win. I put a lot of weight into their matchups.

Wasn't it Rashaun who caught 7 tds in one game last year? not that it matters.

If we hire a guy because of him being well known like the Giants ex I would be disappointed. I like Miles too based on what he has done with a down trodden program with not much history going against one of the top programs in history. Very similar to what Saban accomplished at MSU but at least MSU had a lot of tradition. Also, go look at OSU recruiting board and see the great players that have them in their favorites list, very surprising.

I'm patient. I brought this topic up because people on the Louisville board were talking about a contract already being drawn up for Petrino. And then in articles they always have Petrino and Les Miles as frontrunners.

I know Skip's got other guys but I'd like to hear them over the coming days. Maybe Tedford is not being mentioned because that's who we're going after. Who knows. Man, it's a tough time though. Any successful coach is in a bowl and NFL coaches and assistants are finishing seasons....it's just a tough time. I'm surprised quite frankly, that Petrino interviewed so soon. Him being IN Shreveport...or New Orleans it said in the article, made it easier.

When did Skip say the names were huge? He said the list of potential candidates was huge. Don't confuse the two.

i'd call BS on the contract. way too quick and skip has said he will not rush just to get someone signed. he's a smart man as long as Blanco's stench is not within 20 miles.

I look at it as a plus that Petrino has been interviewed so soon. Props to skip on how he handled the saban deal and now this. He is really on top of it. Our last coaches searches have been total chaos/jokes. Lucked out on Saban and we all know it. Wasnt due to our genius BoS. Well, maybe one or two of them.
