Where do we stand with JC QB Mettenberger?

I think I saw others (who know more than me, that's for sure) say that he has 3 years to play 2, i.e. he has 2 eligible years, but has 3 years to play these 2. At least that is how I understood it, but I am no expert just to be clear, and may be completely wrong about that.

I know his Champ game is the 5th. Any guesses as to an actual date that we'll know something?

It be great to see him win the Juco Championship, whip out an LSU hat and then tell the sideline reporter that he's going to come win another Championship at LSU.

 

He's told those of us who know him that he'll announce his decision after the game on Sunday.

I think he'd be a fool to go anywhere other than LSU, but everybody in the family is doing their poker face to perfection.

The only other place I think he's considering is Ol' Miss, and that largely because of the Eli connection. That and some family connections with the school. LSU has the better pool of talent, by far.

I would really like to see this kid in action. Is there any live Internet or for the "Citizen’s Bank Bowl". I didn't see it listed on the upcoming ESPN 360 games this Sunday.
