Was born in Monroe. Left for the Army at 19.
Lived in Germany (2 yrs) , Fort Stewart, Georgia (2 yrs) and Colorado Springs, Colorado (3 yrs) during my 7 1/2 yrs in. Spent time in 4 or 5 other places, but I wouldn't call it living.

-New Orleans, 0-17, lived all over but mostly in Gentilly area; spent some time in Kenner then the Best Bank thru HS
-Hammond/SLU for first semester of college while my brother was finishing school there. Visited LSU for the first time ever in Nov. 1984, got goose bumps at a game in TS, and have been bleeding purple and gold ever since. Transferred that next semester.
-Baton Rouge/LSU 18-21, partied a lot , had to leave to make up some academic ground, lol
-New Orleans 21-29, UNO, Xavier Pharmacy School, Tulane Med School
-Honolulu, HI, 29-32, Residency at Tripler Army Med Center
-Round Rock/Fort Hood, TX, 32-36, completed military career, practiced in Temple, TX for 1 year, played in Austin for a year, but just not home. Wife was pregnant, so decided to get back to family/friends and raise our children near them.
-New Orleans, 37-40, took dream position at Ochsner, had our first child, evacuated 3 times, home flooded after Katrina, decided New Orleans wasn't all we thought, moved to NC
-Cary, NC, 40-47…...put our roots down here, not going anywhere until kids are off to college, then will probably move around and see the world a bit more.

Have travelled and spent some time in Seattle, San Fran (love those areas), Taos (New Mex), NYC, Boston, Mexico, and Venezuela. Looking forward to getting to Europe at some point.

Baker 1 year. Trailer on my grandparents' property. My dad got a job at Exxon and bought a house in Zachary.
Zachary 17 years. Lived in the same house until graduation.
Lafayette 1 year. One year in college. Our house in Zachary burned to ground, my parents split, and my dad decided to be a drug addict. Moved back home to help mom.
    Zachary 2 years. Sucked.
Lafayette 2 years. Back to school, met the love of my life, bounced around different apartments.
Thibodaux 1 year. Tried Nicholls for a year. It was like going to a large high school. Classes were super easy and some of the buildings still had lockers. Lived a in a strange little shotgun house.
Lafayette 5 years. Back to UL. The wife and I had the same roommate for most of this time period.
Baton Rouge 8 years. A couple different apartments before buying a house in 2008. Soon to be living in "St. George, LA" when the vote happens.
