    Acme Oyster House in the quarter would be a better bet than Deanies. Deanies is just fashionable, I guess. The food doesn't bother me that much, but I totally agree with you that you can find better than Deanies.

    Well ya I am from N.O. and I know of all those places. BUT most people can't afford those places. This place Clancys where is it exactly cause my last name is Clancy and my whole family is from Rivertown and surrounding area but i have been gone for a couple of years, doing the ARMY thing.

    I'm partial to Camellia Grill for brunch. Its basically at the corner of St. Charles and Carollton. You can take the street car their. I'm not sure they still do but they used to serve a "cannibal burger", can't say I reccomend it though.

    Why are y'all knocking deanies. they have some great platters that fill up to the point of no return. I mean coming on if BUDDY D eats there its GOTTA be GOOD!

    I didn't even know there was a Hooters in Metairie. We always ended up going to the one in the quarter.

    In Baton Rouge, TJ Ribs is a must! Best ribs you'll EVER have! It's right off the Interstate at the College Drive exit - not far from campus (but allow a hour or more if you eat there on gameday to get to the game)

    Hell yeah its got better looking women and thats were most of the Saints players eat. Its about 2 blocks over from Clearview Shopping Center.

    It was when i was last there, although it is not in the best part of town
