Auburn averages 40ppg. Moo St. held them to 17 @ home in the 2nd game of the season. Their O is firing on all cylinders now and we played @ aub. We held them to 24pts. Our D was amazing and gave us a chance to actually win that game coming into the 4th quarter.

Amazing to think they scored "only" 24 points while putting up such huge yardage. As bad as our O was in this game, especially in the 2nd half, we were tied midway through the 4th quarter. By that time, though, you figure our D is pretty gassed, and was pretty evident with AU's last score. I know Cam rushed for 200+ yards; at least they didn't hang 60+ points on us...

That's what I'm saying. Even if you subtract Ark's freebie 21 pts they still hung 40+ on Ark @ Ark. But at home they "only" managed 24 vs our D.

And the got 7 off of a turnover, granted it was a bit of a drive for them.

Regardless of stats our D is getting it done as evidenced by our 7-1 record.

Maybe so, but there were an awful lot of really long runs by a number of players, and they could not be tackled by just one guy.

The D did what they were supposed to do, keep AU out of the endzone. Save for 3 gashing run plays, that accounted for 150 of AU's total yrds and 2 of their scores, our D did a really good job of keeping them between the 40's. Unfortunately they got no O support which in the end had them too gased to stop anybody, especially AU's run tandom.

not having a legit safety killed us also. we really missed CJ3 on saturday. this is why Loston should have been playing from the get.
