Definitely disappointed if that was truly is all he had. Randle found himself in the exact same situation against the exact same Bama player and ran away from him (or at least didn't let him catch him from behind). Not sure what happened there.
Not appologizing, but to me it looked like he got conservative and went to cover the ball with both hands. As a guy that knows something about sprinting, you need your arms moving. But only he knows for sure, luckily it didn't cost us.
Watch it and you'll see him turning around looking for Barron. He should've just ran, but apparently he was worried about getting hit and losing the ball.
If that's true someone needs to remind him that you never turn and look around. That's one of the big no-no's.
Yeah that's the only thing I can think of. Poor kid has been out in the open field so little this season that he didn't know how to act.
I wondered about that too. Someone posted his highlight reel recently, and so I thought for sure we were about to see him break away just like he'd done against so many guys in high school. Even still, I was impressed with his run. Can't wait to see him continue to develop. Same goes for Randle.
I agree -- could not understand why he didn't at least make a diving attempt at tripping up Randle. Nick was probably all over him after that. :geaux:
