not to split hairs with you in particular but let's just say Skip is as good as anyone ever in college baseball. So if he isn't tops its because someone cares less about that sport in itself.

that being said, my personal view is we have the best college baseball and football coach in the world right here at LSU. I hold them both in the highest regard and forever thankful!

I gotta say Bertman, they don't make you AD if they don't hold you in high regard.

Agree, and I would say that if you were to research who is held in the highest regard you find that about half the serious baseball fans are just as big into football and they would probably hold Skip and NS in a similar regard. The other half of the serious baseball fans would hold Skip higher. The balance of the football fans would hold Saban higher, thus giving Saban the edge due to the overwhelming numbers that follow football religiously. A few of them may switch over due to Skip's legend and because he also the AD. I hold them equally very high like you do and thank God everyday for bringing both Skip and Saban to LSU.

Being more a LSU football fan then the other sports I go with Nick Saban on this one. Not to take anything away from Smoke or Skip. But with the coverage available and the talk shows featuring the coach I like the way Saban has come in and really lifted this program up in a variety of areas. I also like the way he speaks and so forth. Skip would be my 1A choice for what he has done with the baseball team and that program. I guess since all they did was win and no problems reported off the field would indicate a top notch program.

And even though you did not ask I'll put my plug in for Womens gymnastics and D D Breaux entering her 27th year as head coach. The link below if it works is her bio. She also graduated from LSU.
