There may be a few more out there that I didn't mention, but you get the idea. Proven, successful head coaches. I like Jimbo Fisher better than all but Chris Peterson, and he is likely NOT available. In fact, for me, Tom Herman belongs in Tier 2. I understand the "sexiness" of what hiring him would look like, but the reality is, he's been a hot-shot coordinator and been a HC for 2 years. I'm no real fan of Dan Mullen, but he's won at Mississippi State. That's not easy to do. Will Muschamp had a hard time winning at Florida.
Hugh Freeze? This guy is likely to get the NCAA death penalty due to his actions at Ole Piss. I just can't get behind him coming here. Petersen would be a sexy hire but I doubt he leaves U Dub, he's getting all the pieces in place at Washington, he'll be contending for the Pac for a while. Whittingham would be a decent hire, but not sure he could handle the SECW, but only one way to find out. I also like Fleck with what he's done with lesser talent, but again another unknown.
What has Mora done that would make you place him as a tier one candidate? He's barely hanging on to his job in the weak ass pac 12.
