I voted with the thought that USC and Texas will play in the Rosebowl, with that in mind I would love to see LSU play Miami. You could add an all the above choice on the poll but to exclude West Virginia and add the Irish........:grin:
Well originally, I had excluded USC, but someone edited my post to add them. I knew that they would get the most votes, thats why I didnt add them... Nazi's around here I swear...
I would have loved playing USC in 03, but I'm not so sure this year. I would still love to have the shot, but if we lost it would suck more than anything. The media would use that to try to invalidate our :crystal: . Our D this year is really good, but it's not on the level of Lavalais, Hill, Spears, Webster, Daniels etc. The defense at the end of 03 could've stopped anyone. Likewise, our offense this year has shown flashes of greatness, but it doesn't have the steady consistent playmaking of Mauck, Clayton, Henderson, Vincent, Broussard etc. I'd still love the shot to shut up the 3-peat crap. Cuz if we won the media next year would be saying "LSU is going for the 3rd in 4 years" and that would be something to read.
If the opponent's rank really matters in how we finish...Penn State. If it doesn't matter too much how we finish in the polls, just for the sake of kicking the piss out of them, I'd love to get rick clausen and the rockytop coonpooches. Course, the volunteer coondogs ain't gonna win enough to watch the game much less play in it.
I wanna see us play Notre Dame. If not ND then Miami or Penn State... Personally, I don't want to play WV. I'd much rather play a "big-name" school.
