    ok awesome geaux

5'9" 212 is about the exact size of Emmitt Smith and that guy was pretty good.

5'9" 212 is plenty big enough. That's the same height and I think 10 pounds heavier than Mark Ingram, and an inch taller than Dalton Hilliard.

Height is not a big deal for runningbacks, depending on style of running, being short is an advantage, low center of gravity, hard to find behind the line, etc.

Closest comparison to Magee's skill set is Ray Rice. Also coached by Cameron and one of the best backs in the NFL. Magee reminds me of a guy who's going to have a much better NFL career than his college production will suggest.

Yep. The Rice comparison is exactly what I was going for when I mentioned that I thought Cam would utilize him expertly. Admittedly, I didn't really think about his size, but it makes for a cool coincidence. :)

Zac Stacy (Vandy RB that just got drafted in the Top160 by the Rams) was 5'9" 216 at the combine, about the exact same size as Magee (5'9" 212), and Stacy ran for 1,141 yards last season (5.51 ypc) and ran for 1,193 yards the season before that (5.94 ypc)

Stacy -- best game vs LSU was 89 yards rushing (4.5 ypc) plus 14 receiving for 103 all-purpose yards

I wouldn't worry about size. Like I always say, you can play football, or you can't. Its that easy.

Speed, balance, poise, and vision are just as important as size and strength. Something each of the great backs mentioned demonstrate.

Yep, I know I keep coming back to Todd Mc...During training camp of his rookie season he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and missed the entire season. During his second season he took over as the Falcons starting center. Todd was a 7th. round pick, they thought a camp body, they were wrong. During the second season, the starting OG went down, they moved the starting OC out to guard and inserted Todd. For years they have drafted and brought in OC's to take his place, they never did get someone to replace him.

McClure was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. During training camp of his rookie season he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and missed the entire season. During his second season he took over as the Falcons starting center after Calvin Collins was moved to guard. Since then he has missed only one game and has been the Falcons starting center since 2000.

One of the better to play the position at LSU and the NFL. Remember this, Todd was coached by Hal Hunter..

    * Hal was the OC for Cam Cameron at Indiana University, some may not know this one.

I love pointing out that I went to high school with this guy. A man-beast among boys, even then.
