Col. Reb, you sure LSU has been on the decline? Where is Bianco's CWS appearance? How about 0? Is Bianco a good coach? You betchya! With the talent that LSU can attract b/c of 5 NCs in 10 years and still being a premier SEC program, he'd have WAY BETTER opportunities at LSU.

    during Smoke's LSU tenure

    Smoke Laval

    2002 - 44-22 (19-10 SEC) - Regional Champs; lost SR at Rice
    2003 - 45-22-1 (20-9-1 SEC) - Regional & SR Champs; CWS appearance
SEC Coach of the Year; SEC Champions
    2004 - 46-19 (18-12 SEC) - Regional & SR Champs; CWS appearance
    2005 - 40-22 (18-12 SEC) - lost in Regionals to Rice
    SEC Western Division Champions
    2006 - 35-24 (13-17) - no regional appearance

    TOTAL: 210-109 (65.8%) - (88-50-1 SEC - 63.3%)

    Mike Bianco

    2002 - 37-19 (14-16 SEC) - no Regional appearance
    2003 - 35-27 (17-13 SEC) - lost to Wichita State in Regionals
    2004 - 39-21 (18-12 SEC) - lost to Washington in Regionals
2005 - 48-20 (18-12 SEC) - Regional champs; lost to Texas in SR
2006 - 43-20 (17-13 SEC) - Regional champs; advanced to SR; SEC Tourney champs

    TOTALS: 202-107 (65.4%) - (84-66 SEC 56%)

I realize that I am a total NOBODY on these boards, but am a lurker.

I have not yet read all the entries on this board, so maybe this has been addressed, I don't know.

My co-workers and I cannot help but notice the elephant in the living room.

    Roger Cador.

We think he is a fine man and coach, who is a great leader and mentor, who understands baseball and people, who, with the resources available to an LSU coach, could do a really good job at LSU.

very possible he could but he will never be given a chance. ive asked him personally and he said it would be too much pressure on the BOS even if he was really the guy they wanted even though he isnt. But i knew that already.

LSU is not gonna take a chance on a coach from such a small program. This would not help toward the anarchy you see currently.

The fact he is black doesn't help the equation when the BOS is a bunch of fat blue hairs.

    Welcome to the boards, Cedric.

About the only thing I agree with you on is that everyone should invest in Christ.
