Patrick "Patterson" Peterson He patroled the whole field (sideline to sideline) for the entire game. I recall him making a play on each sideline on consecutive plays, recovering the fumble inside the 10 yard line to take away a potential Washington score and him chasing down an opponent running down the sideline opposite of the side he lines up on (also saving a score). Hands down Peterson.
I voted Peterson as well, for the many reasons already stated. I wanted to vote Tolliver but couldn't although he was awesome. He only had 3 catches and the defender on him probably should not start on a college team. I wish they would have thrown the ball more to him, as I do in what seems like every game he plays in..the dude is deceptively fast. Peterson and Coleman carried the secondary in the 2nd half, making tackles. Peterson just has "it" Chad Jones needs to be taking notes.
And I was really impressed with Jefferson. Though he didn't pass the ball much, he showed a lot of poise and leadership that we sorely needed last year. He seems to be able to read the defense before the snap and make the appropriate changes. Just needs to learn to slide...
