And I've been hearing he's miserable and his name was recently being mentioned in reference to a Pac10 team.

    why not Monken?

If he is being mentioned for HC jobs, why can't he be our OC?

Expect Miles to get some weak-willed guy that he can hold under his thumb... thats why he and Fisher don't get along...

Thats honestly who I would hope for at this point...if fisher doesnt come back, plus monken is a beast of a recruiter so anyway we can keep this guy on the staff will be a plus.

    i can tell you this:

for those of you who still hold out hope JR may come back... if an outsider is hired as OC, and it's an entirely new offensive system, he will be sure to leave, out of fear he may not fit in 100% in it, and hurt his stock.

Because, I do believe if Russell is a Top 15-20 projection, he will stay to try to get in that #1 slot.

I did a story about this a few weeks back and asked him about all this; that's just the impression I got.

crowton would be the best choice but monken imo is who it will be. i'm ok with that, i think monken is capable. miles may have more control over him than an outsider which is what he'll want after jimbo.

I think your staff should call Nutt and borrow the long list of candidates he had when making his last OC selection.

Very possibly, but I really think that will be a mistake on his part. There is no guarantee he will get the HC position when Bowden leaves. If he stays at LSU he will eventually get what he wants. Of course I may be biased.
