Here are my choices: 1. Texas A&M - nice road trip, great stadium 2. Texas - Austin is a fun place and UT is a top program (alltime) 3. Southern Miss - Southen Miss could use the Superdome as their home field for the game. 4. Florida State - nice trip and good reputation. 5. Clemson - Good trip and good exposure. The Southern Miss game would probably be the best for us. Their stadium is small and New Orleans is close enough for them to make it work out. Best of all New Orleans without Tulame.
WEst coast would be better for recruiting purposes so we could get more of those California recruits. Of course east coast would be better for media exposure.
LSU currently gets next to no exposure on the west coast. Without paying for premium channels on Direct TV, one can watch less than a total of about ten LSU related sporting events of any or all sports in any given year. These poor miserable bastards are truly hurting for some good football games. They honestly believe that Pac 12 football is the best quality football in the land. They not only are usually unable to get SEC games, but it is the rare Big 12 game that is shown locally. Texas vs Oklahoma last year was not even available locally on pay per view. Without SEC teams scheduling local teams, the high school athletes here in CA very rarely get the opportunity to watch Grade A quality football being played.
I think the most lodgical would be against Texas A&M. I remember the home-and-home we had with A&M in the early 90's and thought that was a good idea. Should be the first game of the season for both schools. You KNOW this game would be nationally televised. Both schools have been ranked #1 in "best stadiums" Both have solid programs Both have fans that are rabid and will travel
