    OU and USC in the Orange Bowl

    Auburn in the Sugar undefeated

    Auburn and USC win and Auburn take one of the Polls.

    How weird would that be.

    You really can't view it that way fairly. By that same logic, there is an argument for OSU being just as good as LSU. I believe that teams aren't at full force that early in the season and their play doesn't really reflect how good the team is. Just like we know that OSU isn't really as good as LSU, it's just that LSU wasn't in full form against OSU. Auburn may or may not have been in full force when they played us. They could be just starting to peak. It's all on how one views it. We as Tiger fans tend to always say that it's just that our team wasn't playing and never wanna credit other teams.

    Also, I don't think our defense is "underrated or disrespected". If our defense plays well, they get respect. If they don't, then they get none. We saw the respect they got last year. Respect comes accordingly and I believe our defense has gotten it's due respect. Afterall, we did give up over 40 pts. against UGA.

    Congratulations Calco. You've been one of the few who have it figured out - the primary reason that AU fans aren't wigging-out over the BCS. I'm certain the media would love to have a controversial "story" in order to spice up sales, but last season's experience was humbling and it remains a fresh memory down on the Plains. These folks are truly taking it one game at a time. Auburn is a much better team when they're not on the radar of the national media. Hell, y'all know what being in a small media market means.

    Those who have stated that AU doesn't understand the BCS are talking out of their azz.
