LSU will get a pass by just about everyone because of the circumstances of the game... I think LSU is #4 and will get jumped by VTech.. My question is how high will the irish go? They are getting too much love... They beat a hapless Pitt and a Michigan team they beat last year... but I see them reachign the top 10...

LSU will either stay put at #5 or drop IMO. They did not show that they were a team that could play with the big boys tonite!

No way LSU drops, I think they move to #3. I remember last year when USC barely beat STANFORD and stayed at #1 the next week.

It's not like we barely beat Tulsa or UAB (sorry Peadbody,...vol fans, suck it)...we beat #15 (at least) at home. No doubt we move up.

I think considering the external variables that are involved, traveling to tempe in the 11th hour and winning. Based on that we will go up or stay put.

No. We'll be 3. Reguardless of how bad we think our team--correction--our defense "stunk" tonight, we still went on the road and beat a top 15 team our first game of the season. That means a whole lot--especially to the media, which, if you've been watching post game, you'll find out that ESPN Gameday is raving about our team's ability to over-come all of the adversity to win this game. Lou Holtz even gave us a "sticker" in their Helmet decal segment at the end of Gameday Final.

I know it's hard to imagine--us getting media love and all--but after this game, it's actually happening.

    Mark it down:

    1. USC
    2. Texas
    3. LSU!

I doubt we will go down. No matter how bad the "D" sucked, they'll look at the overall picture, and we'll move up, or stay the same. My bet is we move up.

You people who think that LSU will drop have lost your minds. What is on TV 24 hours a day? Hurricane Katrina. These guys dealt with all of its effects, traveled across the country to play a home game, and managed to beat a top 15 team that was a 1.5 point favorite to beat them. We will be 3 or 4. Everyone is loving Virginia Tech, but IMO it would be tough to let them jump over LSU after they beat freaking DUKE and we beat a top 15 team...Whatch out if Arizona St. doesn't make some noise in the PAC10.

I saw we're #3 this week. Really other than our secondary, we looked pretty darn good, especially considering all the factors.

We beat a VERY good ASU team on the road after not having had a warm up game and not being able to focus on football for a week and a half.

I say we deserve #3 under the circumstances and I think the voters will see it the same way.

(of course if our D doesn't improve we won't stay there, but that's beside the point)
