It appears the announcement could come as soon as Jan 1.

Chavis and Walker have been the exclusive talk as to the leading candidate for the job.

Who do you think gets the job?

I still put my money on Chavis, but he is nowhere near a slam dunk.

Does it matter? LSU will be looking good with either. If this is truly the two choices we're down to, I feel like we've already won something.

I am still sticking with Walker and Coach O as a position coach with some other titles (meaning more money).

I agree we will be fine with either, I just think Chavis is the safer choice.

Voting going as I expected, right down the middle with a few scattered votes for the "other" category.

From all I can gather on other boards is the "aggressiveness" factor that supposedly Walker would provide, as opposed to the "soft zone" rap that Chavis appears to be carrying with him.

I still say it has all to do with the players you have at your disposal. If Chavis feels confident in his backfield, he will be more prone to aggressiveness that what he was the past several years at Tennessee.
