I would say the majority thinks that it will not be Chavis, at this point. Personally I think that whoever Miles has hired we are better off than what we have now. I also, think we are going to be surprised.

Some reports out there are saying that Chavis has on offer and is willing to wait to see if Walker takes a HC job.

Sounds like Walker is LSU's 1st choice and Chavis is a willing backup.

Also reports that O may have come to an agreement with Miles and could announce to LSU next week.

Going to be an interesting few days.

Notable person on Tigerbait says Chavis is leaning towards LSU over Clemson at this point and appears to be first in line for the job.

    So who knows.

Id much rather Walker over Chavis. I much prefer an aggressive D over a bend but dont break D.

:geaux: I'm in the Chavis camp. I'm for the guy who has the SEC experience. I also agree with islstl in that Chavis will be more aggressive depending on what he has to work with. At LSU, I believe he'll have the horses to be much more aggressive than he was at Old Rocky Top. :LSU231:

Im not buying that Chavis will be that much more aggressive at LSU than he was a TN. I think he is a big upgrade from what what he had this year. TN has a lot of talent every year on D. They usually have a good DL, LBs, and they have an excellent secondary. So the talent is consistently there at TN. I dont see why he would be more aggressive at LSU.

Chavis was agressive when his talent let him be agressive. The Tennessee talent has been waning for years now...

Since your big thing about Chavis is his linebacking expertise, out of curiosity, what Tennessee linebackers are there in the NFL that he's recruited/coached?
