If you could choose any quarterback in LSU history to QB next year's team, who would it be?

There are many to choose from...I'll start it off. Tommy Hodson. One of my favorite LSU QB's. The Hodson to (Wendell) Davis connection was awe-inspiring. With next year's receiving corp, what kind of numbers would he put up?

This is really a no brainer.

#7 BERTRAM JONES. (as a senior)

With our WR corps he would wipe out the competition...

Note: In the '71 draft he was the 2nd overall pick, behind John Matuszak...
...and in '76 he was the NFL MVP....

Rohan Davey or Craig Nall. If Nall would have played more and gotten experience he would have been one hell of a quarterback.

Oh this is easy. I'd take Brian Sparacino. That guy threw the single ugliest pass in the history of organized football. A screen pass that ended up in the 4th row of the stands.

I would pick him, on the off chance that I could see a re-creation of it.

    Otherwise, Davey.

Only ONE other LSU QB has been the #2 pick in the NFL draft...

...and HE went on to win the NFL MVP just like B. Jones...

Yelverton Abraham Tittle (You can call him Y.A. for short...)

...#2 in '51 behind Kyle Rote, MVP in '63...

...Y.A. is in the NFL HOF...

...B. Jones, with 0 championships even though he played for some good Colts teams, probably won't make it....

of who ive seen--davey, no doubt, because of his downfield throwing ability mixed with scrambling

from lsu history--it would be hard to pass on tittle, but that was quite a different era. not sure about his athleticism, but he threw a great downfield ball.
