I would love to play whoever wins the big 12. Nebraska has Pelini, OU still hates us from '03, and Miles used to coach at Okie St. All three have interesting back stories and all would be good games.

I know this won't be a popular choice, but Ohio State.

Robert Smith has been dogging LSU as of late, saying he considers us a "two loss team, and the voters should, too!"

So I'd love nothing better than to see the Tigers put the hurt on Smith's alma mater.

My understanding is, that, if Oregon goes to the championship game, the Rose Bowl is committed to picking either TCU or Boise, provided one of them is not in the game. My guess is, if one of them is, and the Rose Bowl can pick anyone, it will want to keep its traditional PAC10/Big10 match up and pick Stanford. The Rose Bowl is the most tradition bound of the bowls.

I would like to see LSU play the top ranked team that is not in the NC!

So .. if Oregon and AU play the NC ... I would like to see TCU or Boise, whichever is highest ranked. ...

    ... .and so on.

But I have to admit, a rematch against AU in the Sugar Bowl would be sweet!!!

Absaloutley none!! 0% chance of that happening, The rose bowl is the most traditionalist bowl game of them all. Thjey do not care about providing a good match-up they only care about making the pac 10 or the big ten look as good as they possibly can, ther's no way they would ever invite a team with a legitimate chance to upset their precious pac 10 or big 10 school!!!

TCU OR BOISE ST. .. LSU needs a change. it seems like LSU is always playing a team out of the big 10 or the big 12..

Not gonna happen the rose bowl would pick up the second team from the pac 10. They have proven this year in and year out.

    rosebowls

    2000 stan 8-3 vs wisc 9-2 2001 purdue 8-3 vs wash. 10-1
2002 bcs champ 2003 Oklahoma 11-2 vs wash st 10-2
    ok won 34-14

    2004 mich10-2 vs usc 11-1 2005 mich 9-2 vs tex 10-1 (tex won 38-37)
2006 Texas vs usc champ game 2007 usc 10-2 vs mich 11-1
    2008 Illionoi 9-3 vs usc 10-2 2009 penn st 11-1 vs usc 11-1
    2010 ohio state 10-2 vs oregon 10-2

so as you can see the rose bowl had a chance to dip outside the big 10 pac 10 confernce in 2000, 2001, 2008, and they didn't , the did however go outside in 2003, and in 2005....and guess what...they lost both times thats why in 2008 they stuck with a lowly illionois team to make there beloved usc team look good(remember thats the year they claimed they should have been in the title game before lsu...whiney pete) So dont look for an outside matchup...they will stick with the pac 10 vs big 10...even if the pac 10 champ (oregon) goes to a title game.
