As a Memphis Alum, I can tell you Calipari is not going anywhere, he is king of the castle. He can get top recruits, schedule good out of conference opponents and roll off 30 win seasons every year. Stranger things have happened but as long as the Admin takes care of his assistants he is good. He was quoted recently as saying "I am having a ball!" Why would he not. Memphis was the 2nd #2 seed, so they were 6th overall. That's pretty respectful.
that family?? yes, eddie has screwed up a couple of times, but neither ones of his sons have ever done anything to warrent probation or show signs of alcoholism. they have both worked their butts off to earn respect by being thier own men. so you are going to place the sins of the father on the two sons? i thought you were supposed to be some sort of christian? yeah, that's real christian of you.

He's like Saban, he is always listening. Memphis did not deserve a 1 seed, had they beaten GT or UT then I would say yes. Even Cal was predicting 3 lobbying for 2. If he left for UK it would only be because of Memphis' incompetent AD R.C. Johnson.
One more rant on Calipari...He would fail in a major conference at a major program, and I think he knows it. Also he is not losing one starter, and gaining arguably the number one recruit in the country Derek Rose. If he left it would be after next year IMO.
I don't think Calipari is leaving Memphis either, they are very talented and blew everyone out this year and probably will be just as good for years to come. I say we look at this tournament closely at the mid-majors especially to look at some possible coaches. Look what happened with at UW-Milwaukee with Bruce Pearl. They made a run in the tourney and Tennessee hired him the next year. Thad Matta (feom Xavier i believe) is doing wonders at Ohio State and has them playing up to their talent level. I'm not sure about how the situations are but I say we go after Gonzaga's, Southern Illinois, Butler, etc. Those are mid-major teams that are always in the tournamnet. Put some pressure on Brady at least to keep his job, I do tend to defend him but I don't feel like Skip or anyone else has put real pressure on him to succeed.
No duh, was just using that as an example to Calipari being so happy at Memphis. Plus, for the right price I think he would come to LSU before UK. Too much pressure at UK. Look at Tubby's resume and they are talking about firing him.
