I can concede the first part of your respone above about "not a ton of problems". Still seemed as though he missed more than he should. But, ohh well. However, the second part of you statement above makes me scratch my somewhat balding head. To say a fast or slow defense really has nothing to do with it?? Slower pass rush, means more time to let the receiver get open. Slower defenders mean more time to hang the ball in the air before the defender can close. Faster, more athletic defenses cause the opposite effect and really make accuracy, trajectory and the mental ability to adjust more important. Seems like to often in crucial plays, JR would float a pass that needed to have been drilled and then drill one that needed to be floated. He really stalled some drives like that. However, I will admitt he came through with some clutch throws in a couple of games to come from behind. No doubt about Oaklands lack of quality last year. Hopefully Mcfadden can help the running game and JMark can get it going (well until they play Denver). Hell, I must be bored! Geaux Tigers!!
Point taken and if we are talking about a pass rush, sure I can see where that comes into play. But I put that more on mechanics and decision making (checks) of JR himself. Every players is going to deal with speed positions that are going to impact the play. But I was focusing more on his ability to hit players in stride with the use of mechanics no matter what the defense threw at him. So meaning more of his individual abilities like he is showing in the few games he has played in the NFL and he did not have horrible problems at LSU hitting his targets.
I remember playing fetch the other day with my ole dog Stains. When we were done I starting calling out "Come Stains".
