Since baseball season is upon us.... I just had my fantasy baseball draft and I got 1st overall pick. Everyone thought that I was going to pick Hanley Ramirez...but I didn't. I picked my favorite player from my favorite team: Jose Reyes of the NY Mets. Picking him made me curious....who is your favorite current MLB Player (current or former)? What about your favorite MLB team?
I think it's worth mentioning that as a kid and even well into adulthood, my favorite was Ken Griffey Jr.
my favorite team is the Astros...then the red sox. the reason the sox are my #2 favorite is because my favorite player was Fred Lynn. I remember watching him in 75 and saying "wow, he plays like me." So, I started following his career and started wearing #19. I had to change to #3 in high school because #19 was an XL and i was 5ft 4in and 120 lbs. No real favorite now...Whoever helps the Astros win is my favorite player that day. I guess because I'm older than the current players it's hard for me to "admire" any of them. Plus I'm jealous of how much they make.
