The inscription around the top says 2001 SEC champions so it is prob a real ring but $1200? You could get 2 Sugar Bowl tickets for that price.
LSU did when the Sugar Bowl that year also...So it doesnt mean the ring is fake. Maybe it could be something the player wanted on one ring?? But then again i'm just guessing
Might be Reggie Robinson. The Sugar Bowl logo looks like a photoshop add on. The players get separate rings for winning the SECCG and the Sugar Bowl. It probably is authentic, but it looks like the image was doctored to add the Sugar Bowl logo. it is definitely an SECCG Ring.
It probably says 2001 SEC Champions because that is who traditionally goes to the SUGAR Bowl but LSU did not play in the 2001 Sugar Bowl we Played in the 2002 Sugar Bowl but it does not have a date on the Sugar Bowl side so it could be real.
This years ring will have both the SEC and the Sugar Bowl on it. They do not give out separate rings. Even if we whould have lost the Sugar Bowl (nat title) the ring would just have the SEC Champs on it. No separate rings, not even in 2001.
