Why are so many schools claiming B.S. football "titles"?

But you'll never know now will 'ya....all the more reason for us to ditch the BCS.

and it would work if losers like you would just accept the BCS team as the real champ!

 

In EVERY case but one, the BCS has given us the 2 best teams for the title game:

The one exception being when Florida St. made it over Miami, when Miami beat them.

Other than that, the system has it's flaws, but I do think that we see the two best teams playing each year!

Look at our title:

We lost to a ranked Florida, OU lost to a top 10 KSU

USC lost to a 30th ranked Cal team

Common sense tells you it should be us and OU! No system can fix this! Because if you go to a 4 team playoff, the 5th team will say they were hot and deserved to be in it!

People just need to understand the system and realize that it has given us good results.

Right, but because of the flawed system and people being able to "claim" NC's, USC was also able to say they were champs too.

Guys, don't act like you didn't hear the "repeat champions, going for the three-peat" stuff after this past Orange Bowl. Sounds like USC claimed every bit as much as LSU did in 2003, eventhough LSU has the hardware (also shows how much the hardware really means if someone else claims as much as you do when they don't have the hardware).

Hence the need for a playoff...less "claiming", more "winning".

 

How is USC's stupidity taint what we did?

We would still be champs no matter what!

Something does need to be done to give us a more clear champion, but I'm afraid we're stuck with what we've got. I don't see a playoff system happening, though, for various reasons.

 

Because unlike you, we got one like this :crystal: to show our accomplishments

Then again, Tubberville probably had a trophy like this made too
