I have to agree with Kjunsausage here...JJ is more of a complete player than just shooting "NBA" threes. He reminds me of Reggie Miller the way he comes off screens and finds a way to get open. He is also an acceptable defender.

And what's wrong with the NBA threes that he throw up? Have you seen his percentage SabanFan? He shoots 49% from the field and 47% on three's (almost 8 attempts per game)...Hmmm....you know as much as I dont like him, he's the best player right now in college basketball.

Dont label him as a guy that just "lofts 25 NBA threes up a game"...

I was referring to all the "good white guys" that CircumcisedSausage has a woodie for. I was not referring to Reddick.

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of team we have this year. How good is Houston's coach? Not too happy about losing that game and all the turnovers, but as of now that loss doesn't seem like a back-breaker.

JJ will never make it in the NBA. Dook players get every foul in their favor and when they let the players play (like the NBA) it bothers them. JJ is a good shooter but the NBA will be too physical for him.

Call a spade a spade I guess. It's just the way I see it. I'm far from being racist in everyday thinking. My perception of what went on in those days may have been a little biased but as you get older and wiser you find your beliefs change. But it doesn't mean that I think the idea wasn't a factor in why or when certain players played on a team or why and when they would play now.

Good shooter??? Um, I think GREAT would fit him better...Btw, I dunno if you have noticed but JJ is in VERY good phisical condition and there are a few players that have made it on their shooting (Steve Kerr, Reggie Miller, etc.)

JJ will get his...He hardly misses.

I think everybody knows the same info about JJ. If you watch one game, Dickie V will practically lay down and worship the guy. His conditioning has nothing to do with how physical the NBA is. It it the phycological part. It is like getting in the head of a qb by hitting him constantly. When the officials let players play against JJ, like UNC's Jackie Manuel was able to last year, he wont score.

your comparison isnt valid because "black" is a race and "Chinese" is a nationality. i guess many would still not like the yao ming thing, but i wouldnt have a problem with it. i also dont think many have a problem with someone being surprised at a black guy dominating golf. now if you had wanted a black guy not to dominate golf, or white guy to get the college bball mvp thats another thing.

The phycological part? There isnt a player more hated and more picked on than JJ Redick in college basketball. How does he respond to this? Well, he lights his oppostion up, that's how! He will handle the physicality of the NBA just fine.

I dont want to hear crap about the officials. Him hitting the three deeper than NBA range has nothing to do with officiating. Duke also sets better screens than most anyone in college bball because they have one of the best coaches that has ever coached the game.

Let's take a look at how Redick fared against Manuel last year...You know since you used that as a basis for argument.

    At Cameron Indoor-- 18pts, 3asts, 4-10 3pt
    At Chapel Hill------- 17pts, 6asts, 4-9 3pt

You have to use your head here and not your heart. You may dislike JJ (as do I), and yeah Dicky V does kiss Duke's ass as a whole, but he's a player, may be the best pure shooter to even play the game, has what seems like unlimited range, and is athletic.

How many championships does Steve Kerr have? Of course they were in big part to MJ, but look back at all the clutch shots that Kerr hit in the playoffs. My point is that you can be a spot-up shooter in the NBA and succeed. Thing is, JJ isn't just a spot-up shooter.

    OK...I'm done.
