Guess if you are a good player (no matter your position) you'll have to go to Arkansas because they throw the ball 40 times a game and they have good receivers.

Some of the reasoning I've been reading is so skewed I'm baffled. Have you paid attention to how well most of our players have progressed and performed? Including Randle who had never played wide receiver before but made All-Sec this year after working hard the past off season and admitting he had not worked as hard as the coaches wanted him to the previous two years.

I would say you're absolutely wrong on all counts. Randle was a receiver until his senior year at Batrop when Mackey graduated. Glad he was a Tiger, but does he? The disappointment can be judged in contrast to Bama, we were1-1 versus, but they have been able to put a consensus no.1 class together, our class like rats off a sinking ship. So explain!

Absolute pure BS speculation. You have no way of knowing that Randle would choose to go elsewhere but you sure try to state that as fact - or at the very least - as a very likely thing.

Again, you have no idea what Randle would do with a "do over", but you'll probably repeat this fantasy of yours ad nauseum hoping everyone else believes you.

I think Tigerflier is being more sarcastic in response to Cajdav's post than saying Randle would have gone to Arky if he had it all to do over again.

The run game and defense really defines SEC football across the conference anyway.

The only recruit we lost was the qb, the others were never ours to lose, your making crap up. And Randle himself admitted that he never worked hard enough to be a great receiver until this year. The fact is you want everyone to believe that we don't develope players whereas the drafts and the number of players in the nfl dispute this.

I have a hard time believing anyone could think the way that you do given all of the easily available info out there, info that proves lsu constantly puts players on the nfl and develops them enough to have the best winning percentage of all bcs schools since Miles has been here.

I do not know why ANY defensive player in this country would not want to come to LSU to play football. Go back to the start of Saban era and LSU is a proven entity with developing defensive players and putting them in the NFL and a lot of them with high draft status. Offensively, there is not as much confidence where potential recruits are concerned. I truly believe that we have had such BIG QB issues the last 4 years that it is a turnoff from some of the recruits. Our Offenisve numbers the last 4 years are that of teams that have 7-6 records. It is amazing that we have done so well with such little offensive production. I really believe that if we have QB play this upcoming season that is above average, LSU will regain some of the Offensive swagger that is needed to show recruits that LSU is a place to come to play and get to the NFL. I know our offensive struggles are not all on the QB's, but, their talent and abilities have handicapped the coaches play calling and vise versa as well. I look forward to the 2012 team putting a much better stamp and branding on our Offense.:geaux:

Thanks for the articles; can not dispute that Texas is a talent rich state in therm of major college Div 1 prospects.

Perhaps we should have had a greater presence.

For an Avg Class ranking of 7.55...

as i see it we are on par with our recruiting averages for the decade and we have produced lots of wins with that average as well as 2 BCS NC's and 4 SEC Champs etc....
So why the panic over a top 10 class...

One theory is the fact that if the LA guys that defected came here and Gunner we would have for sure been a Nr 1 Class....

Its like this every year with recruiting, people should know this by now. Well you would think by now people would be use to this. Les and the LSU staff do as good of a job as most with recruiting every year. The great thing about this year, we have little needs. Guess people just don't like to sit back and enjoy.
