Odd how that works. Florida has grown by leaps and bounds, as have other parts of the South, but at the end of it all, sometimes it is still the new South against the old South.

As an Atlanta resident who has been in attendance every time LSU has played in Atlanta since 2003, I selfishly object!

UGA fans do show up for dome games in Atlanta, but as a general rule, most UGA fans hate going to Atlanta for anything. They love their precious Sanford stadium and their lush campus. They don't tailgate or get into the games the way they do in Athens. Add in the fact that Atlanta is Georgia Tech territory, and it makes it even worse for them. (For the record, look for Tech to upset UGA in a couple weeks!).

While I realize Atlanta isn't convenient for those in Louisiana, there is a huge fan base in Atlanta and along the east coast that can swing a trip to Atlanta a lot easier than a trip to Baton Rouge. Atlanta airport also offers direct flights to virtually every city in the country, so it's convenient to fly in if that's your preference.

With the addition of MO and A&M, Atlanta isn't as centrally located as it once was. However, I don't think we should fix something that isn't broke because we signed on a couple new JV teams. Let UGA have their once-per-decade in-state advantage. It's about all these mentally deranged fans have going for them anyway.
