  1. I don't think the point is that because people have dark skin they will be bad parents. I think the point is that a lot of poor inner city people doesn't raise their families right and a lot of those people are black. I recently heard on the news that Jacksonville, FL has the infant mortality rate of a third world country. Maybe it was just a segment of Jacksonville, FL, but really, that is a disgrace.

I think in general it is poor folks who grow up in a cycle of failure who have a higher tendency to fail. It seems a large segment of the black population in the US falls into that category.

I'm not defending everything that has been said in this thread, nor the way it has been said, but this is a touchy subject that needs to be discussed.

I don't have much sympathy for anyone who voted for Bush twice. Yuck.

I think Obama is and should be concerned about the white vote; sure he is getting a lot of white votes but I really think a big reason Hillary had so much success is that some white dems didn't want to vote for a black guy. You might be surprised to find out that prejudice still exists. Especially in older white people. That's frustrating, but I don't think there is any denying that it is reality as well.
  2. Go right ahead, but I don't believe any of us are going to delete a post that is a right on target. CC is referencing the exact same words that Obama referenced Sunday in his Chicago speech. Here is part of what Obama had to say:

Go to 13:03 in video, where he references Chris Rock.
