We shouldn't care where we are right now in the polls, only where we are when we finish the season.

I figured we were to going to lose a game anyways this year, and I'm glad to got that out of the way. It was a repectable loss to a worthy opponent early enough in the season; the worst thing would have been to lose late in the season.

After we finally attained the number one ranking, it was obvious that the pressure and attention was suffocating our players. In the two weeks with our number one ranking, they squeaked by with a win over Florida and lost to Kentucky. Now, with all that pressure off, we can start winning again and sneek back into the NC game. With our schedule and a weakened SEC, we've got the easiest games left among teams aspiring to play for a NC.

How much experience do our players and coaches have defending a #1 ranking? 2 games total.

How much experience do our players and coaches have playing for #1? All the rest of the games all players and coaches have participated in.

I like where we are. Much more experience with chasing then being chased.

i agree on some of the things the original poster said.

    less pressure.
if we're gonna lose, better early.
it was a quality loss (of that is possible)

But.... i MUCH rather be on top of the world looking down at the rest. holding the #1 spot and the nations longest win streak:thumb:

    still love my tigers though

Why can't people give a little background and introduce themselves before they write a poorly worded post?

We had every chance in the world to finish undefeated and make our own mark. Now we have to win out and rely on someone to lose. Not a good way to control your own destiny in the BCS. You never want to leave things in the hands of the voters. Auburn is solid, Bama is solid and Arkansas has the ability to run down our throats. No game in the SEC is easy. You can bet your savings the environment in Tuscaloosa will be hostile. We need to focus on one game at a time, and win those games.
