We were certainly not lucky to beat Marshall. They threw a 60 yard pass on the first play of the game and then the next 59 minutes of the game they mustered like 90 TOTAL YARDS. This is the same team that hung over 20 points on Ohio State who has a good defense. Marshall's coach said our defense was the best defense he had ever seen in 8 or so years at Marshall. As far as South Carolina we made mistakes on the road in a hostile environment and dug a huge hole. We fumbled a punt, gave away a safety and then threw an INT returned for a TD all within the first 17 minutes. After that South Carolina never sniffed another point and Greene threw 2 TD's in the 2nd half after leading us to two scoring drives in the last 6 minutes of the first half. Our defense is a lot better than you think.
