Not sure this was worth a thread but wanted to shout this from the rooftops. They played a team that can play defense. While I hate the benefit Alabama receives, I am sick to death of Oregon running up the score on the defenseless.

They lost becsuse they play puss 12 football. Stanford plays like an SEC team, physical football with a defense.

Oregon got manhandled up front, just like they did against us and Auburn. This is what happens when you base your entire philosophy on running around defenses rather than at them. Thy are soft.

They lost because Chip Kelly invests absolutely nothing into the FG kicking aspect of his team.

Happened a couple of years ago in a loss to USC in which they lined up for a easy 37 yarder to win the game and of course he missed it.

Btw, no way that call should have been overturned that gave Stanford the game tying TD.

The ball was still moving in his hands after he rolled over.

Stanford, UCLA, and Oregon St are playing an SEC style of football right now with good defense and ball-control offense. Thus, they've separated themselves from the "pac".

I'm hearing that the Ducks still have a real shot. Of course we must beat the beavers,.. and USC has to beat Notre Dame.

Alabama plays Georgia, which will eliminate the loser, with the winner/SEC champ going to the natty.
Oregon and Florida would then contend for the #2 spot. Florida has a very small lead over us, and plays @ #10 Florida St.
Oregon St. is at #15, beating them doesn't hurt us, but might not help either. FSU eliminating the Gators would be great, but if UCLA beats Stanford,.. that would put us in the PAC Conf. Champ game, if we win that, we would probably pass Florida and play for all the marbles.

That's about all the positivity I can muster,.. stupid field goal kickers

We feel your pain, bruh. Ours, who was Mr. Reliable in 2011, missed 2 against bama that would have won the game for us, and would have therefore kept us in the driver's seat for the NCG.
