Also, dont forget Mardi Gras started right here in Mobile, AL before spreading to N.O. in 1857. I spent my Fat Tuesday in downtown Mobile. Ive been to N.O. Mardi Gras a couple of times, and it is worth doing in a lifetime. In fact, Ill go back, but Mobile gets about half as crazy with about half the people. Its nice to still have a huge party on a little bit of a smaller scale.
iT was finally my turn to be off for Mardi Gras after 4 years in the work cycle. Then my boss calls a meeting in Jacksonville for Mardi Gras day. I know it sounds paranoid, but I believe she did it just to ruin my day. Hell working for rednecks.
