Arnold has a serious knee injury, but it's his last season and if he's to have any chance of an NFL shot, he has to play this season. If he earns the start, he'll play every game, with Hitt covering for him a lot. If he can't start, then he'll probably still want to play every game.

He was out with an ankle injury last year right? When did the knee thing happen? Perhaps the people that voted him all sec didn't know about his ailment.

It was not "a" knee injury, it is just likely he has bad knees after years of being overweight and hard wear and tear. I'd speculate like red, that he will start if able to play at all...I don't think there will be any 'saving' him for big games - the only thing I can foresee is taking him out of the game early in blowouts. It's difficult to just change OL lineups every other game - it affects continuity in passing, blocking, and running, and timing (penalties, etc).

You are absolutely wrong. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are both 10x more important than the VT game. OM and MSU may be easier games, but they aren't more important games. Simply put, SEC games are more important than non-SEC games. The VT game doesn't matter one lick when it comes down to deciding who goes to the SECCG, and THAT IS THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THE SEASON.

The man has had 18 surgeries so I think it is a little more then that. His weight is certainly not helping though, you are correct in that regard...

I was right in all regards  Don't want to run a guy down on a message board, but I am aware of all his surgeries.
